To provide the safest and highest quality care, we ask patients using prescription medications to have periodic follow-up visits so we can review how their treatment is working, address any concerns or side effects, and make sure the medication continues to be the best option for their skin and overall health.As part of our practice policy, patients using topical prescription medications are seen at least once a year before ongoing refills are provided; oral medications are monitored every 6 months. Example: if you were seen on June 9, 2026 and were prescribed a topical prescription, you would require another appointment on our before June 9, 2027 in order for us to refill the same topical prescription.
I know this may be inconvenient, but these visits help us ensure that our patients continue to receive the most appropriate care. We offer telehealth appointments as well as in-person appointments.
