Pay It Forward Clinic

At Zand Dermatology, we believe everyone deserves compassionate, high-quality medical dermatologic care. Our Pay It Forward Clinic provides complimentary medical dermatology care to uninsured individuals experiencing genuine financial hardship, nominated by a current Zand Dermatology patient.

The program is designed to create a ripple effect of kindness. In gratitude for receiving care, we ask each participant to complete three simple acts of kindness for someone in their community or circle of loved ones and share a brief reflection with their referrer and Zand Dermatology.

How it works:

• Nominate: Current Zand Dermatology patients may nominate an uninsured friend or family member experiencing financial hardship.
• Receive care: Dr. Sarvenaz Zand or Dr. Paula Zand provides one complimentary in-person medical dermatology visit and one complimentary follow-up phone visit.
• Pay it forward: Recipients complete three acts of kindness of their choosing.
• Share gratitude: Recipients are invited to write a short letter sharing their acts of kindness.

The clinic is intended for medical dermatology only, not cosmetic services. If ongoing care is needed, we will help connect the patient with an appropriate community resource, such as Marin Community Clinic.

To nominate someone: Call 415-301-5000 and ask for Ruby or Leyla. Please provide the nominee's name, phone number, and reason for the visit. Because availability is limited, we ask that nominations be reserved for individuals with significant financial barriers to accessing dermatologic care.
