Alexa Harris, NP

Alexa Harris is a much loved provider here at Zand Dermatology. She is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over five years of dedicated dermatology experience, Alexa brings a wealth of knowledge, a compassionate bedside manner and a soothing touch to our team. She serves patients throughout Marin County here at Zand Dermatology, located in Mill Valley, California.

Alexa earned her undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley and completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Vanderbilt University. Alexa has over 5 years experience as a dermatology medical assistant, gaining a strong foundation in skin pathology, dermatologic procedures, and patient-centered care. After passing her AANP board certification in 2025, she joined Zand Dermatology.

Alexa completed a comprehensive dermatology residency under the mentorship of Dr. Sarv Zand and Dr. Paula Zand, with focused training in skin cancer detection, acne and rosacea management, eczema and psoriasis care, and the use of lasers and energy-based devices. Patients consistently describe Alexa as warm, thorough, and an excellent communicator—someone who makes complex information clear, accessible, and reassuring.
